Need help paying for Medicare?

You may qualify for one of the programs listed below.  Qualified Medicare recipients may get help paying for their Medicare Part A, Part B, and Part D premiums, deductibles, and co-pays.  See below for more information about who is qualified.  For additional information on any of these programs call us at 1-877-801-0044.

Medicaid Savings Programs (MSPs)

  1.  Qualified Medicare Beneficiary (QMB) Covers:
    • Payments for Medicare Premiums
    • Coverage for Parts A&B deductibles and coinsurance
    • Reduced co-payments for generic and brand-name drugs
    • Criteria for the program:
      • Single individual - $1,010 monthly income & $7,280 resources
      • Married couple - $1,355 monthly income & $10,930 resources
  2. Specified Low-Income Medicare Beneficiary (SLMB) Covers:
    • Payments for Medicare Part B Premiums
    • Reduced co-payments for generic and name brand drugs
    • Criteria for the program:
      • Single individual - $1,208 monthly income & $7,280 resources
      • Married Couple - $1,622 monthly income & $10,930 resources
  3. Qualifying Individual-1 (QI-1) Covers:
    • Payments for Medicare Part B premiums
    • Reduced co-payments for generic and brand name drugs
    • Criteria:
      • Single Individual - $1,357 monthly income & $7,280 resources
      • Married Couple - $1,823 monthly income & $10,930 resources

Note: These income and resource levels are based on 2015 Federal Poverty Level Guidelines.  $20 unearned income disregard is already added to income figures.  $1500 is added to resource limits for burial assets per person.  CHOICES recipients do not qualify for QI-1.

$1,502.00 (single) or $2,022.50 (double)

AND your assets/resources are below

$13,640 (single) or $27,250 (couple)

You may qualify for extra help paying for you premiums, deductible, and co-pays with the Medicare Drug Benefit.
